Sunrise Surprise
You wouldn't understand the title of this shot if I didn't explain, so let me explain! This shot was taken in Jupiter, FL. It's about a 4-hour drive, so in order to photograph it's beaches for sunrise, I ended up staying the night in a hotel. All through the night it rained and poured. The thunder and lightning woke me up several times through the night. I remember waking up a couple of hours before my alarm and thinking, "Well, there probably won't be much of a sunrise." Assuming the sun and colors would be blocked by clouds, rain, and haze, I almost didn't go. But, boy was I wrong! This was one of the best sunrises I have ever seen!
